Caring Hearts and Hands

Caring Hearts and Hands Prayer Blanket Ministry is a ministry that meets monthly to make fleece blankets. These blankets are then freely available to give support and share God’s love and comfort to anyone going through life’s difficult circumstances.

After the blankets are made, they are prayed over and encouraging scripture label is attached to one corner. Although most blankets are given to offer support to someone who needs encouraging, blankets are also given to celebrate life’s joyful occasions, such as graduations and milestone birthdays. New babies are welcomed with baby blankets.

The ministry meets the 3rd Thursday of the month, 9-11 a.m., in the church basement. The blankets are made with two pieces of fleece joined together by tying knots to make a fringe. There is no sewing or special skill required.

The volunteers also enjoy the sweet fellowship of sisters in Christ as they make the blankets and then join together in prayer over the blankets.
